Because of our allergies we were able to use the expenses of the home air purifier filters along with the furnace filter on our medical flexible spending account. I really wish I knew I could do this as we would not have lost the other money in the account if we would have used the home air purifier filters and furnace filter. It is amazing on how much we spend on the home air purifier filters alone. Our furnace filter is not a large expense we change it m ore than others. So by putting the home air purifier filters and furnace filter on the account we are actually saving but not paying taxes on the income in that account.
